on four dolphins, the body decorated with a water leaves frieze and applied with another frieze in the Antique style with putti on a matted ground, engraved with the arms of the Borghese Princes, the spout shaped as a swan, with ebony handle shaped as a goat, possibly later
Condition
In overall very good condition, with minor dents and scratches to the surface, commensurate with age and handling. The ebony handle shaped as a goat is apparently a later replacement (probably end of the 19th century). Fully marked on the neck, the lid and the base. Good weight and very large size.
