CASE Case overall very attractive. Some very gentle indication of previous polish. Backs of lugs with some wear and scratches. Left side case band with wear and some scuffs from opening and closing. DIAL Dial is highly attractive with some light surface wear and debris under very close observation. MOVEMENT The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. There were two previous extracts issued by Patek Philippe in 2001, and 2005, respectively. Patek Philippe Archives fully researched and issued an updated Extract from the Archives on March 2nd, 2018.The Extract confirms that the watch was manufactured in 1938, and sold on January 6th, 1939. The original case was replaced by the acutal one- bearing # 647707 during a servicing in 1967.
