OPAL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE

Composed of two rows of graduated opal beads, measuring approximately from 5.0mm to 10.4mm, to a clasp set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, length approximately 450mm.

Opals between approximately 5.0 - 10.4mm in diameter, body colours varying from white to cream, orange, light brown and grey, with varying degrees of transparency, all with good plays of colour, predominantly red, orange and green. Some very small areas of glue residue visible under magnification to opals towards clasp. Opals mostly in good condition, with small scratches to areas of surfaces, a small number with minor chips with residue in fissures. A small number of opals crazed. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to be SI-I clarity on average, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.60 - 0.80 carats. Clasp secure. Light scratches to surface consistent with age and occasional wear. Overall in good condition. Gross weight approximately 41 grams.
