Augustine Neisser was a Moravian clockmaker. He was born in Schlen, Moravia in 1717 and immigrated to Savannah, Georgia in 1736. In 1739, he traveled with a group that settled in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, but he chose to live in Germantown. In 1746, he was commissioned to construct the tower clock for the great Moravian Church in Bethlehem. For additional information on Neisser see James W.
