the deep rounded sides rising from a short foot, covered overall with a lustrous black glaze, suffused with irregular metallic russet 'oil-spots', the glaze falling short of the foot to leave an unglazed area covered with dark brown slip

In overall good condition with some light wear to the surface and minor firing imperfections, including a tiny glaze gap to the interior below the rim.
