以創作人物肖像畫著名的邱亞才，自幼憂鬱寡歡，通過繪畫，將情緒抒發於畫筆下的人物，畫出人性的種種樣貌，他們不僅僅只是代表特定的人物，更代表著各類群眾的象徵。《白衣少女》（拍品編號5005）《歷史教授》（拍品編號5006）面部表情平靜的肖像，背後卻給人一種不孤寂、憂鬱及內斂的感覺。輪廓的勾勒受唐代繪畫的影響，鵝蛋臉、纖細瘦長的身材及難辨雌雄的人物特徵為其經典的繪畫語彙。
