Accompanied by GIA report numbered 2171006208, stating that the star ruby is of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating. Also accompanied by Gübelin report numbered 9610050, dated 15 October 1996, stating that the 10.10 carat ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of thermal treatment. Please refer to the reports for further details. Mounted in platinum as tested. Star ruby purplish red of medium saturation, displayed distinct asterism, with typical natural inclusions, some are surface reaching and a few of orangy colour, some minor abrasions, nicks and tiny chips, the base with minor cavities. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.00 carat in total, about I to J colour, VVS to VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal, overall in very good condition.
