清乾隆 粉彩粉紅地番蓮紋八仙過海燈籠瓶 《大清乾隆年製》款

superbly painted around the tall ovoid lantern-shaped body with the 'Eight Daoist Immortals', riding on their respective vehicles on finely combed waves painted in soft washes of turquoise, each figure holding an attribute and some standing in a windswept stance, the scene set between ruyi-head borders outlined in blue and white enamels and decorated with scrolling lotus on a pink ground, the straight foot painted with keyfrets in blue enamel, all below a gilt rim, the interior and base enamelled turquoise, the base centred with an iron-red six-character seal mark within a square cartouche reserved in white

此燈籠瓶以道教「八仙」拜赴西王母蟠桃宴後在驚濤駭浪中渡海為題，同類罕見。八仙乘興遨海而不騰雲，只憑個人道法， 即謂「八仙過海，各顯神通」，喻人可用其所能渡越險阻。相類圖案見於一對乾隆款粉彩粉紅地蓋瓶，原屬 Gordon Getty 珍藏，尺寸較大，輔飾如意雲頭紋，1992年及1995年先後售於香港佳士得，後再由紐約蘇富比於2009年3月17日售出，編號124。另見一八仙過海燈籠瓶，束頸較長，售於紐約蘇富比，1982年11月9日，編號302。北京故宮博物院藏一例，畫西王母坐青鸞而至、八仙賀壽之景，圖見《故宮珍藏康雍乾瓷器圖錄》，香港，1989年，頁35，圖版31。

瓶身八仙過海圖佈局採通景，上下加飾粉紅地纏枝花卉，屬乾隆朝後期紋飾風格。乾隆一朝巧匠，擅於糅合各種元素，自創新款，故此瓶之器形及紋飾雖常見於本朝，但幾乎不見有同款近例。頸足之粉紅地纏枝花卉紋，設色紋樣類近洋彩瓷，後者或取材自織錦圖案。

相類之乾隆年製燈籠瓶，也多見中央繪人物圖、頸足伴飾彩地者。如一例，瓶身稍小連蓋，秀直短頸與足施胭脂紅，見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集．琺瑯彩．粉彩》，香港，1999年，圖版128；另一例則施松石綠彩，圖見《故宮珍藏康雍乾瓷器圖錄》，前述出處，頁353，圖版34，另見圖版29、30載錄較大瓶例，分別畫山水及嬰戲圖；南京博物館也藏一綠地燈籠瓶，參閱《中國清代官窰瓷器》，上海，2003年，頁320。

此類紋飾續流行於嘉慶、道光年間，部分御器或出自乾隆朝匠人。可比較一件器形相似之粉彩胭脂紅地海屋添籌瓶，瓶頸稍長，繪道家四仙立於鄉野，眺望東海，瞻觀蓬萊仙境，見碧波萬頃、其衣褶、輔飾，皆與此瓶類近，售於香港蘇富比2010年10月7日，編號2163。
