There are overall small chips and fritts to the raised part of the carving. One and a half petals of one of the quatrefoil flowers is broken off and missing, there is a ca. 0.4 x 0.2 cm large chip to one of the curled petals of a magnolia bud. There are two ca. 0.5 x 0.4 cm shallow old chips to the edge of one of the petals of the large magnolia flower and a ca. 0.4 x 0.3cm shallow old chip to the edge of another petal. The stone is of a less yellow and darker celadon green colour with an area of russet white to one side of the carving. The stone is smoothly polished and translucent under light.
