The overall condition is excellent, with only some typical wear to the gilt decoration. There is an original burst air bubble covered in enamel to the immortal in lime-green robe on the reverse.

This would have been made as part of a set of perhaps 8, 10 or 20 bottles of the same design, of which only a few have survived, although the excellent condition of some of those that have suggests that they were kept in the safety of the Imperial storage until these storage facilities were pillaged, after 1860, for nearly a century.
