the compressed body of rounded-square section, supported on four short legs issuing from the mouths of mythical beasts, each side set with further mythical beast-heads, with two opposing curved handles set at the base of the circular neck, the shoulder and edge of the base encircled by lotus lappets, the base with a six-character Chenghua mark, the raised details highlighted in gilt

There is wear to the gilding and minor nicks along the edges and signs of age related wear. The piece appears to be in good overall condition.
