機芯由54件零件組成，以3939型號深受歡迎的R TO 27 PS機芯為基礎加以改良，將萬年曆機制提高至新的技術層面。月份、星期、日期及閏年由常見的小錶盤改以視窗顯示，更顯清楚易讀。傳統日期轉換方式較為費時耗力，新機制則可於午夜時分瞬間同步跳進，需要機芯內212塊組件天衣無縫的完美配合，複雜性大大提昇。此新技術之核心元件為一個由杠杆及特別設計凸輪組成的複雜裝置，品牌已為此申請兩項專利。此外，其清脆悠揚的三問報時簧音及精密複雜的陀飛輪功能，皆為藏家推崇備至。此錶是百達翡麗作為製作珍罕時計獨步錶壇之巨擘的最佳見證，為值得代代相傳的瑰寶。

高端複雜功能時計系列製作工序繁複，曠日耗時，乃至一錶難求。雖然5207型號仍然處於投產階段，但品牌只會將這時計傑作預留給最忠實的支持者。據知此為5207型號粉紅金錶款首次亮相拍場。
