Condition

There has been old restoration to chips along the interior rim under the metal mount and another 1/4 inch (6cm) restored chip on the opposite side of the rim. The exterior with consolidation to some of the glaze crackles.

本盌為福建建陽窰茶具經典造型,釉面銀兔毫至為矚目。類近作例包括Arthur M. Sackler 博物館藏例,載於展覽圖錄《Hare’s Fur, Tortoiseshell and Partridge Feathers》(哈佛大學美術館,劍橋,1995年,編號79);北京故宮博物院藏有一作例,圖錄於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集.兩宋瓷器(下)》(香港,1996年, 圖版204);尚有一盌,大衛德爵士舊藏,現存倫敦大英博物館,載於《東洋陶磁大觀》,卷6,東京,1982,圖版44。

此類盌為斗茶名器,白滑茶沫映襯盌面黑釉,茶色煥發,濃淡相宜。釉層厚潤,兼具保溫隔熱效果,口沿下方向內束收,持盌在手更為穩定,同時鼓勵品茶者小口細嚐,正合專心一致、細緻品味之品茶原則。據文獻記載,建瓷佳器皆為福建上奉朝廷之貢品,此外亦有日本僧侶從中國佛寺將建窰茶盌帶往日本。在日本有所謂「天目」茶具,其名稱源於中國浙江建陽以北天目山,當地信眾喜以建窰瓷盌品茶。茶道為佛教寺廟傳統之一,皆因清茶具有提神作用,能助僧人坐禪冥想。建窰歷史與東傳日本經過,詳述於Nicole Coolidge Rousmaniere,〈Defining Temmoku: Jian Ware Tea Bowls Imported into Japan〉,《Hare’s Fur, Tortoiseshell, and Partridge Feathers》(劍橋,1995年,頁43-58)。
