The movement is running at the time of cataloguing and the chronograph function appears fully operational, however it may require a service in the near future to be well preserved. 5070型號為百達翡麗旗下錶徑最大的一款腕錶，運動型的設計簡約優雅。自1463型號停產後，百達翡麗有近30年的時間沒有生產純計時（即沒有任何日曆功能）的腕錶。5070型號的珍稀性在於它意味著百達翡麗純計時腕錶重新回歸市場。5070型號靈感出自1950至1952年間生產的2515型號追針計時款錶，兩者的錶盤與錶殼設計均非常相近。

5070型號現已停產，百達翡麗於2010年春季舉行的巴塞爾錶展中，推出後繼的5170型號作為其唯一男裝純計時腕錶錶款。
