Both vases in very good general condition, with the exception of a rim crack to one vase, measuring approximately 60mm to the interior and 47mm to the exterior and a very faint glaze line or hairline to the interior of the rim only of the same vase, extending approximately 28mm down the neck, the other vase in excellent general condition. Both vases with minor scratching to the surface, removing some of the enamel, and enamel flakes and light surface wear elsewhere.

本品造形典麗，胎質緻密，上作八吉祥蓮紋，品質精良，創思新穎，盡展乾隆皇帝獨特品味。弘曆對各御窰作坊製作相當重視，尤以景德鎮御窰為甚。乾隆帝喜好華麗繁縟之瓷風，景德鎮御窰奉命製瓷，故亦以繁複富麗見著。督陶官唐英技臻藝絕，奉乾隆親命，製成珍瓷精彩紛呈，造型紋飾、製器技術與色彩配搭皆豐富多樣，標新創異，此對瓷瓶即為其中佳例。

藝匠以經典纏枝蓮花，配綠地八吉祥紋飾，別具新意。綠釉瓷器，創燒於乾隆一朝，極富當代美感。纏枝葉紋隱見歐洲洛可可風格卷草紋影響，唯深蘊中華傳統藝術基礎，既典雅，亦創新。

相類八吉祥花卉紋乾隆年器，釉彩、造型各異，可參考數例；北京故宮博物院藏一胭脂紅地作例，帶如意耳，圖見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品大系．琺瑯彩．粉彩》，香港，1999年，圖版127；另有一松綠地瓶例，亦帶如意耳，先後出自Alfred Morrison 收藏、放山居及戴潤齋雅藏，曾售於倫敦佳士得1971年10月18日，編號82及香港蘇富比2010年10月7日，編號2132；紐約蘇富比曾出售一黃地作例，1973年11月21日，編號558，倫敦蘇富比亦曾售一白地瓶例，2001年6月20日，編號29。
