明嘉靖 戧金填漆雲龍紋菊瓣盤 《大明嘉靖年製》款

盤菊瓣形，漫淺式，坦底，瓣形圈足。通體髹朱漆為地，填彩漆戧金紋飾。盤心飾躍龍遊弋於雲海之中，龍雙眼圓瞪，張牙舞爪，毛髮後披，造型威武，生動逼真。內壁作戧金花瓣紋。圈足內髹朱漆，中刀刻填金《大明嘉靖年製》楷書直款，側紙籤上書「御□一千七十八號」。

The dish is in overall good condition, in commensuration with its age. There is a chip to the tip of one of the fluted petal at approx 7 o'clock (showing on the illustration in the catalogue). There are some horizontal age cracks to the lacquer on the interior and the underside and some flakes to the lacquer on the foot rim. The tip on the petals is somewhat tarnished with occasional retouching to the red lacquer.

嘉靖皇帝崇信道教，他幻想長生不老，更喜聞祥瑞之事。因此嘉靖一朝漆器紋飾獨特，祥瑞寓意之集中，非其他朝代可比。此盤器形如盛開的菊花，菊花象徵吉祥、長壽，體現了嘉靖皇帝長生不老的意願，可謂匠心獨運。盤中龍紋形態，尚存永宣遺風。
