瓶豐肩，歛腹斜收至足，短頸盤口。肩上作礬紅獸面描金舖首，銜金彩活環。瓶身黃彩軋道錦地，上作洋彩折枝蕃蓮紋，枝葉蜿蜒，妍芳雅緻。頸綴回紋，下飾如意雲頭，腹底則作仰蓮瓣垂珠紋。瓶內及外底施松石綠釉，底心留白方框，內書青花以三行六字篆款。

Condition
There is a faint 1 cm hairline crack on the rim extending slightly over the outer lip, partially obscured by the gold on the rim. There is also a 0.2 cm frit on the rim. The gold on the mouth, the foot and the loose ring handles, has light minor wear. However, the overall condition is very good. The enamelling is all intact.

洋彩，即江西景德鎮奉命專為北京宮廷燒製之特殊瓷品，可謂是此瓷器重鎮對宮內御製琺瑯彩瓷的回應。儘管在北京，清帝可以直接監督琺瑯彩瓷的燒製過程，然所用白瓷胎仍須向景德鎮御窰廠特別訂燒，如斯遠程分工，加上宮中作坊環境所限，明顯限制了琺瑯彩瓷之品類與數量，乾隆皇帝遂漸命景德鎮御窰廠奉敕直接燒造洋彩瓷器。
乾隆一朝，宮廷御作坊創製軋道瓷作，細膩珍貴。也許是受到此宮中巧藝之啟發，本品施彩多姿，錦地精微，花卉紋樣鮮艷典雅，盡展當朝曠世創思。據林業強，〈Towards a Dating Framework for Qianlong Imperial Porcelain〉，《Transactions of the Oriental Ceramic Society》，卷74，2009-10年，頁8，乾隆六年（1741），景德鎮方始採用軋道工藝，巧飾瓷品。當時任督陶官者，正是巧思善創的唐英（1682-1756年），他可謂倡導中國瓷藝革新之佼佼者。
飾軋道工藝之瓶，見有諸多形態、尺寸及色彩組合，五花八門，類例甚罕，未見有極為相近之器。台北國立故宮博物院珍藏多件洋彩軋道瓷器，錄於廖寶秀，《華麗彩瓷：乾隆洋彩》，台北，2008年，全書皆見。
本品珍罕，在於其形制體量之微，舖首活環之精，配色合宜之美。Marchant 文中（前述出處，頁45）論及此瓶近足處變形蓮瓣紋中，所飾淡紫色地，實為罕有。有一黃地花卉紋嬰戲圖瓶，售於香港蘇富比1999年11月1日，編號399，其尺寸甚大，器形、畫藝有別，飾紅地描金龍耳，器頸中央繪飾洋花，與本品上蕃蓮寬展之貌甚為相像，瓶頸亦施相若淺紫色，可作對比。
