Condition
The canvas has a wax lining. The varnish has discoloured and there is a layer of light surface dirt. there are lines of craquelure in places throughout and a few flecks of paint loss in places. Under UV there two small lines of retouching are visible near the sitter's right shoulder and there are a few minor spots of retouching elsewhere. A layer of opaque fluourescing varnish prevents a more conclusive analysis. Framed.
