Colour and Clarity: According to both the Gübelin and SSEF report, the oval ruby is natural, of Burmese (Mogok Valley) origin, with no indications of heating, of vivid red "pigeon's blood" colour. Also accompanied by a Cartier Authenticity Certificate states that this ring is a genuine Cartier item, made by Cartier New York, circa 1956. Please refer to the reports and authenticity certificate for details. In our opinion, the ruby is of brilliant, strong red colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, there are natural crystal and fingerprint inclusions, but generally not noticeable to naked eyes and do not affect the transparency or brilliance of the ruby. Baguette diamonds in the surround are about F to G colours, VS clarity. Signed to the shank. Condition: Vintage ring circa 1956, signs of normal wear to the platinum mount, overall in very good condition.
