probably modelled by George Fritzsche, standing with his right arm outstretched on a gilt-edged rectangular base, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue.

Condition

The figure's sabre is now lacking; all that remains is the handle. The edge of the sabre scabbard is chipped. One corner of the base has an approximate 1/2-inch chip and another corner has an approximate 1/4-inch chip under the base. There are some further occasional very minor chips around the base.

Honey in Dresden China, An Introduction to the Study of Meissen Porcelain, pl. XIX (f) as well as by Ludwig Schnorr von Carolsfeld in Porzellansammlung Gustav von Klemperer, pl. 48, no. 521.
