With an exceptional result totalling £2,324,375 the March sale was a superb start to what promises to be a most exciting year for Sotheby’s Watches.
The auction was led by the Rolex Sport models, most notably the Rolex Milgauss, more than tripling its low estimate at £93,750, and the yellow gold Rolex Paul Newman Daytona achieving £137,000, over double its low estimate.
With the successful return of Sotheby’s London Watches sale, the first of which was held in September 2015, we are delighted to announce our second dedicated auction.
We are excited to feature a very important selection of vintage watches, including several Rolex Daytona Paul Newman, a 1953 Panerai by Rolex and an extremely fine group of elegant Patek Philippe to name but a few.
We also have selected the finest timepieces from the most prestigious Manufactures such as important modern complicated Patek Philippe, Rolex, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet.
Further to this, the March sale will bring to the market perhaps one of the most interesting selection of A. Lange & Söhne ever presented at auction.
