The second volume, Collections: Silver, Vertu, Ceramics, and Russian Works of Art, offers a superb selection of American, European and English silver and vertu, ceramics, and Russian works of art. Silver and Vertu highlights include an important Spanish Colonial tureen, cover, and stand by Miguel Guerra, a set of Paul Storr gilt dessert plates bearing the arms of Hope, and a diamond presentation snuffbox with the cypher of Queen Victoria. Our selection of European Ceramics features a rare Vincennes bleu-céléste large bowl dating to circa 1753-54, along with a K.P.M. topographical part tea service and a pair of Meissen figures of nodding pagodas. The Russian Works of Art includes a nice group of niello decorated pieces and three fine Fabergé cigarette cases from the Lansdell Christie collection.
