Jonathan Greenberg joined Sotheby’s in 1999 and currently serves as the Vice President, Senior Specialist in the Valuations department, where he is primarily responsible for appraising Fine Art. He is also the US liaison for the Modern British Art department in London. Before the Valuations team Mr Greenberg worked on Fine Arts sales of Impressionist & Modern as well as Contemporary Art. He also previously oversaw Sotheby’s online Fine Arts sales on sothebys.com.
Prior to joining Sotheby's, Mr Greenberg worked in museums and as a private dealer for 23 years. He was a member of the International Fine Print Dealers’ Association and the Private Art Dealers’ Association.
Born and raised in England, Mr Greenberg began his New York-based career after graduating with a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
