Sotheby’s Hong Kong five-day Spring Sale 2012 Series brought a total of HK$2,465,520,000 / US$316,092,308 and solidly surpassing pre-sale estimates (in excess of HK$1.9 billion / US$244 million*).  Over the past five days, more than 2,780 lots from eight sales categories were sold.

In the sale of The Ru - From a Japanese Collection, a world auction record was set for Song Ceramics when an Outstanding Ruyao Washer From The Northern Song Dynasty sold for HK$207.86 million / US$26.65 million.

A unique Philippe Dufour pink gold two-train minute repeating grande and petite sonnerie wristwatch achieved a world auction record price of HK$4.82 million / US$617,949.

An 8.01-carat Emerald-cut Fancy Vivid Blue Diamond and Diamond Ring achieved the second highest price per carat for a blue diamond at auction.
