Описание в каталоге

Jacques Gudin was born in 1706 and became a Master in 1725. He is recorded as working at the Quai des Orfèvres in Paris and he supplied movements for cases by some of the finest bronziers. This particular case is most unusual in combining gilt-bronze and porcelain in a wall case rather than the more usual table or mantel clocks.
