Описание в каталоге

Accompanied by a Certificate of Origin dated 21 June 2007, booklet and presentation case.

With its L.U.C. 4T calibre Chopard is presenting a truly exceptional movement. The tourbillon carriage of this watch is made of 62 parts and its balance is oscillating at a rate of 28’800 vibration per hours. The calibre 4T is unmatched for its reliability and precision.

Since the discovery of the gear-train in the late 13th century, enhancing precision has been a constant challenge for the brotherhood of master-watchmakers. Numerous negative factors may affect the running of mechanical timekeepers due to the force of gravity. In order to compensate the effect of gravity in watches the tourbillon device was invented in 1801 by Abraham-Louis Breguet. It is one of the most ingenious mechanisms invented by horologists. It comprises of a mobile carriage which houses the escapement, this makes one revolution per minute thus eliminating the errors which occur when the movement is in a vertical position.

This very well preserved watch is an exceptional example of fine horology as well as being an impressive piece of jeweled craftsmanship.
