Alina Davey joined Sotheby’s Russian Department in 2004 where she worked for three years. Since 2007, Alina has led the Russian desk in the London Private Client Group, advising Russian and CIS political and business figures on their art acquisitions. Alina has also driven a number of major client and strategic initiatives, strengthening the firm’s relationships with some of the most important Russian and CIS art collectors.
Before joining Sotheby’s, Alina worked at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (1999- 2001) and then set up the office of an international property development company in St. Petersburg in 2004.
Alina was born is St. Petersburg, Russia, and holds a Master’s Degree in Foreign Economic Relations from the St. Petersburg Financial University. Alina also plays an important role in supporting charitable activities for the Hermitage Museum, The Gorbachev Foundation and the Gift of Life Foundation. Alina speaks Russian and English.
