Mark Grol is Division Head of UK Regional Business in London. He joined Sotheby’s Amsterdam in 1994. Soon after, Mr Grol assisted during the important house sale of the Markgrafen von Baden in Germany. From 1996 to 2000, he resided in Hong Kong, where he was general manager of a leading European art gallery that specialised in Impressionist Art. He then returned to Sotheby’s Amsterdam in 2000 as a Paintings expert for the arcade auctions.

In January 2001, he joined Sotheby's 19th Century Paintings department and in 2004 was Business Manager of Decorative Art Departments. Mr Grol was Managing Director of Sotheby’s Amsterdam from 2006-2011 and Directeur Général délégué of Sotheby’s Paris from 2011-2015.
