Courtney Booth Christensen is a Vice President and Head of Department, Trusts & Estates, where she serves as a contact for professional fiduciaries and beneficiaries for the valuation and sale of personal property.  A sixteen year veteran of the company, Mrs. Christensen worked as a fine art specialist in the American Paintings and Prints departments prior to joining Trusts and Estates in 2012. Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous notable estate and single-owner sales at Sotheby’s, including the Collection of Mamdouha & Elmer Holmes Bobst, the Collection of Irvin and Anita Schorsch, the Estate of Robert S Pirie, the Collection of Alfred A. Taubman, the Estate of Brooke Astor, and the Collection of Patricia M. Kluge, among others.   Having also worked in the firm’s Philadelphia, San Francisco and London offices, Mrs. Christensen continues to maintain key client relationships throughout the United States and abroad. She is also an auctioneer for the firm, handling both fine art sales and charity auctions for a number of philanthropic organizations. Mrs. Christensen graduated from Princeton University in 1999 where she received a Bachelor of Art’s degree in American History.  She is currently serving as Vice President of the Board of East Side House Settlement, as well as a Vice Chair of the Winter Antiques Show, the art, antiques and design fair held annually at the Park Avenue Armory. She is also an active member of the Professional and Planned Giving Advisory Committees for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the New York Historical Society.
