a scene in the Ebisuya depicting preparations for a banquet portrayed by beauties taking down large boxes containing dishes from a high shelf, likened to Act X of the drama in which the merchant Amakawaya Gihei jumps up on a large travelling box and declares to the law officers that `Amakawaya Gihei too is a man!' as he refuses to reveal the plot of the loyal retainers to whom he is secretly supplying weapons, publisher's mark of Omiya Gonkurô, signed Utamaro hitsu
