Description

A drawing attributed to Dugourc in Paris showing a fireplace along with numerous ormolu and patinated bronze objects in the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris includes the design of these candelabra, see Hans Ottomeyer and Peter Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Vol. I, Munich, 1986, p. 298, fig. 4.18.6. An identical candelabrum executed in ormolu, patinated bronze and white marble is in the Royal Swedish Collection, see ibid., p. 298, fig. 4.18.7. A pair of candelabra of this design is in the J. Paul. Getty Museum, Gillian Wilson and Catherine Hess, Summary Catalogue of European Decorative Arts in the J.
