Description

This chronometer is the first horological item made by George Daniels during his time as a trade watch repairer. Having purchased the èbauche from Thomas Mercer, he set about making the escapement and finishing the chronometer. It is said that Frank Mercer was impressed with the final result.  The dial is uniquely signed G W Daniels because he felt that it looked better at the time, even though he had no given middle name.
