1.

Lot 61

Sol LeWitt
Black and White Horizontal Lines On Color, 2005
Estimate: 70,000 - 100,000 USD

This stunning picture is mathematical and brooding all at once.  I could stare at it for hours.

2.
Lot 233

John Baeder
Hot Dogs Pies, 2001
Estimate: 10,000 - 15,000 USD

I want to live in this image. Or at least open a roadside stand as an homage to it.

3.
Lot 217

Gerhard Richter
Abstraktes Bild, 1988
Estimate: 350,000 - 500,000 USD

It took me years to fully appreciate Richter’s abstract work.  This one hits me in the gut and I just find it hauntingly beautiful.

4.
Lot 46
Claes Oldenburg
Il Corso Del Coltello, 1984
Estimate: 20,000 - 30,000

One of my favorite all-time pictures at Union Square Cafe is from Claes Oldenburg (hangs over table #67), and this knife and corkscrew would be equally at home there. Just might have to bid it up!

5.
Lot 246
Yayoi Kusama
Black Butterflies, 1990
Estimate: 50,000 - 70,000

I adore the pattern, colors, perfection, and dreamlike beauty of this picture.  I’d love to invite it into my home.
