1.

Lot 36
Cindy Sherman
Untitled #105, 1982
Est. $40,000 - 60,000

Hannah: I'm a huge Cindy Sherman fan and this piece is no exception. I love the sensitivity and mystery behind this anonymous woman's half-covered face. The chain link shadow adds a texture to the photo that really accentuates the angst of the subject's expression.

2.

Lot 1
Esteban Vicente
Untitled, circa 1950
Est. $5,000 - 7,000

Hannah: As a dancer growing up, I am always drawn to pieces with a lot of movement. I love the way that Vicente creates a dynamic piece with his varying brushstrokes that almost looks like a ballet class in motion!

3.

Lot 211
Richard Prince
Untitled, 2011
Est. $8,000 - 12,000

Brendan: I’m a long time fan of Prince’s work.  His pieces, always borderline controversial, carry such a higher class then what is being shot, so it allows to meet in between and become acceptable and to show more provocative beauty as art.

4.

Lot 213
Lucien Smith
Duck, duck, goose, 2013
Est. $5,000 - 7,000

Brendan: Taking photos you saw as a child on a similar postcard and pairing it with a game played as a child has all sorts of strange innuendo’s which is why this piece gives me a gritty sense of comprehension about the work.
