Sotheby’s Wine will round out its New York calendar of auctions on 19 November 2016 with Champagne Bollinger, Direct From The Cellars & Finest Wines. In addition to the century of Bollinger, including a once in a lifetime visit and tasting, the sale features an extraordinary offering of wine from Domaine de la Romanée Conti, over 50 cases of which are offered in never-before-opened banded cases. Further highlights include a West Coast collection with perfectly stored DRC and Bordeaux; the cellar of the late Martin Kaplan; 1960s Clair Daü and Armand Rousseau from the cellar of a former member of La Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin; and a rare magnum of the mythical Château Cheval Blanc 1947. Two lots benefiting the American Friends of the newly opened Cité du Vin in Bordeaux are also included with unique visits, lunch and dinner at Château Mouton Rothschild and Petrus.
