Sotheby's March 2016 Design sale brought in an impressive total of $3.5 million, with several works selling well above their pre-sale estimates. A French Art Deco Screen (circa 1925) led the sale at $187,500, against a high estimate of $7,000. A Tiffany Studios "Dragonfly" Floor Lamp (circa 1910) followed closely behind at $162,500 against an estimate of $70,000 - $100,000. The sale's cover lot, a Monumental Dining Table by Mira Nakashima sold for more than double its high estimate of $60,000 for $137,500.
