The wine session of A Private Single-Owner Collection of Important Wines and Watches brought HK$56,816,724 / US$7,284,195. The sale was 100% sold with over 50% of lots achieving prices in excess of their high estimates. The sale total was the fourth highest for a single-owner wine sale held at Sotheby’s Hong Kong and the sixth highest worldwide in the company’s history. The result followed the highly successful Château Mouton Rothschild ex-cellars sale in January which was also 100% sold.

On 4 April and 7 April Sotheby’s Hong Kong will offer both Wines and Watches respectively from the collection of a single owner whose passion encompassed both. Scheduled to take place at Hall 5 of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, A Private Single-Owner Collection of Important Wines and Watches comprises 456 lots of wines to be offered on 4 April (Est. HK$40 – 56 million / US$5.2 – 7.2 million) and over 100 lots of watches to be auctioned on 7 April (Est. HK$18 - 27 million / US$2.3 – 3.5 million).

This collection offers the finest wines from the world’s greatest producers: the rarest and best – with top-quality Burgundy from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) and Henri Jayer, to finest Bordeaux from Château Pétrus and Château Lafite. Spectacular Champagnes from Krug, Dom Pérignon and Bollinger include some of the rarest vintages from the region, while Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate and Dalla Valle Maya are sure to excite collectors of top Californian wines. Highly desirable Super Tuscans from Sassicaia and Masseto round out this collection.
