The 18 June Wine sale in London totalled £813,039 and attracted bidders from Asia to the Americas, with 25% of lots selling online. The appeal of great Burgundy and mature Bordeaux was evident throughout the sale.
The top lot was this 12-bottle Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Assortment case from the celebrated 1999 vintage, which sold for £25,850. Our next sale will be in London on 16 and 17 July, and features a Magnificent Bordeaux Collection.
Our 18 June sale comprises nearly 600 lots of superb Bordeaux, Burgundy, Sauternes, Champagne and Vintage Port.
Bordeaux classics include Palmer 1989, Margaux 1989 and 1990, Mouton 1996, Lafite 1998, Latour and Pétrus 2000, Haut Brion and La Mission 2005. Adding to the stellar line-up are Cheval Blanc 1921, Latour and Mouton 1961, Pétrus 1975 in double magnum and jeroboam, and Yquem 1945 and 1990.
The range of Burgundy features a 1999 DRC Assortment case and Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 1999 from de Vogüé plus the sublime 2002s from Domaine Dujac and 2006s from Domaine Leflaive.
Champagne highlights include Krug 1952, 1953 and 1979 in magnum, and a small parcel of Dom Pérignon 1990, while Fonseca 1963 alongside Taylor 1970 and 1992 crown the Vintage Port selection.
