Sotheby's September 20 sale of Maginficent Wines From The Warren A. Stephens Collection brought a total of $1,439,252, led by a full case of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 1999 sold for $159,250 to an Asian collector bidding by telephone.
We are honored to once again be selling a selection of wines from Warren Stephens. This auction will feature the rarest and most sought after Bordeaux and Burgundy including 1961 Haut Brion in magnum, 11 bottles of 1961 La Mission Haut Brion, and a signed imperial of 1982 Pétrus. A particular focus of the sale is large format Bordeaux with over 40 imperials from the five First Growths including 1989 Haut Brion, 1982 Latour, 1982 Lafite 1982 Margaux and 1986 Mouton Rothschild. Rarest Burgundy features 1996 Musigny from Domaine Leroy, four vintages of La Tâche including 1985 and 12 bottles 1999 Romanée-Conti.
