Sotheby’s Fall sale of 19th Century European Art features an impressive range of works spanning all important schools of the period – from Academic to Orientalist and Barbizon to Victorian. Highlights include a number of recent re-discoveries by artists such as William Bouguereau and Jean Béraud, as well as major works by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Gustave Courbet, Jules Breton, John William Godward, Frederick Arthur Bridgman, Giovanni Boldini and Alfred Stevens, among others.
