Stefano Moreni joined Sotheby’s in 1997 and was appointed Director of the department in 2001. He has been involved in every Modern & Contemporary Art sale and has researched and written catalogues for a number of specialised sales such as The Stanley Seeger Collection of Italian Art and the first 20th Century Italian Art sale in London.
Prior to coming to Sotheby’s, Mr Moreni spent nine years as a curator of a prestigious private collection of Modern and Contemporary Art in Italy and Switzerland.
He graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Milan University with a specialisation in Aesthetics.
