Robert Bradlow joined Sotheby’s in 2000 and was named to his current post as Head of the Chinese Works of Art department in London in January 2008. He is the senior auctioneer for the Chinese Works of Art department in London, and has been in the auctioneering business for nearly 30 years. He began his career at Sotheby’s as Head of the Decorative Arts department in Australia, where he was responsible for the Asian Art sales. Prior to joining the company, he worked at Phillips International Auctioneers as a Chinese Works of Art Specialist in London and established their Melbourne office in 1992.
He has written articles and given lectures on various areas of the Decorative Arts. Mr. Bradlow holds an Honours degree in History of Art from London University and specialized in Chinese Art at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
