Gauri Agarwal joined Sotheby's in 2011. She is responsible for a group of key clients with a special focus on India and Non Resident Indians, driving new client initiatives and developing client relationships. She works closely with the international specialist departments to develop business in Indian art sales and other auctions. Prior to joining Sotheby's, Ms Agarwal spent 2 years at Grosvenor Gallery, London where she was responsible for expanding the gallery business as well as developing relationships with contemporary artists from the Indian Subcontinent. She has also spent eight years working in wealth management for Goldman Sachs in New York and Kotak Mahindra Bank in New Delhi. Ms Agarwal holds a Master of Arts degree in Contemporary Art from the Sotheby's Institute of Art, London and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Haverford College, USA, with a major in Economics and minor in Art History.
