for a single wine lot.

This treasured bottle was one of 206 lots from the Château Mouton Rothschild from the
collection of Baroness Philippine de Rothschild’s private cellar. Baroness Philippine is the
current owner of the Château and the sale encompassed a range of vintages from 1887 to 2005.

Three bottles of the 1869 vintage from the legendary Château Lafite were sold
among 284 lots with direct-from-the-cellar perfect provenance – consigned by the
owner Domaines Baron de Rothschild. The Château Lafite achieved a price nearly 50 times the
low estimate (US$5,000 per bottle) and the auction itself marked Sotheby’s
tenth consecutive ‘white glove’ wine auction in Asia at that time.
