Copy of The Deeds of Sir Gillion de Trazegnies in the Middle East

This outstanding medieval romance, secular in subject, is the greatest volume from the library of the celebrated bibliophile Louis de Gruuthuse (1422-1492) to come to the open market. Written and illuminated for Gruuthuse, this manuscript was sold at the Old Masters & British Paintings Evening Sale on 5 December 2012 for £3.8 million.
