RESULTS
Our sale of Finest and Rarest Wines on 25 March totalled £709,419 ($1,057,034) and 86% of lots sold.
The top lot was a six-bottle case of Romanée Conti 1993 which soared to £54,050, well over the high estimate of £44,000. Another top-performer was six magnums of Pétrus 1989, which brought £32,900 surpassing presale expectations. There was strong interest in the collection from a Continental Michelin-starred restaurant, which featured a stunning range of 2004 and 2005 DRC, and wonderful cellar selections of Egon Müller Rieslings. An Imperial of Château Palmer 1989 and Château Lafleur from the 1990s were among other highly sought-after wines.

The lead collection of our 25 March sale focusses on Burgundy from top producers such as Ponsot, de Vogüé and Méo-Camuzet. The Burgundy is complemented by Classed Growth Bordeaux, great Italian wines from Bruno Giacosa and Gaja, and prestige Champagne including Jacques Selosse Substance.
The second collection, from a Michelin-starred restaurant on the Continent, features the great wine regions of the world. Burgundy highlights include the complete range of 2004 DRC, La Tâche and Montrachet 2005 plus gems from Dujac and Coche-Dury. Fabulous German Rieslings from Egon Müller plus Italian cellar selections of Gaja and Sassicaia add to this superb line-up.
Further Burgundy rarities include Romanée-Conti 1993 and 2009, a complete case of La Tâche 2009 and a 1999 DRC Assortment case. From Bordeaux, Left Bank blockbusters Haut Brion 1989, Lafite 1989, 1990 and 1998 vie for attention with Right Bank superstars, with Lafleur spanning 1995-2004 and Pétrus 1988 and 1989 in magnum.
