Séverine Nackers, Head of Prints for Sotheby’s Europe, is responsible for Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints sales in London. Since 2004 she has been involved in high-profile sales across each category of printmaking including the notable collections of Dr. Edgar Paltzer, Dr. S. William Pelletier, Ambroise Vollard and Stanley J. Seeger. Successes include current world record prices for Pablo Picasso’s La Minotauromachie for £1,273,250 (September 2010, from the Private European Collection of Picasso prints), Paul Gauguin’s Crouching Tahitian Woman monotype for £577,250 (March 2011) and Albrecht Dürer’s Maps of the Southern and Northern Skies for £361,250 (March 2011).

Ms Nackers studied at the Louvain University in Belgium and holds a master’s degree from the Courtauld Institute in London specialising in the Northern Renaissance.
