Nadine Steger-Kriesemer has been working at Sotheby's Zürich since 2001. In her current role, she works closely with her international colleagues in the 20th Century Art Department. From 2007 to 2008 Ms Steger-Kriesemer worked as a specialist in the Contemporary Art Department in London and she has been instrumental in many major consignments in the Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary Art fields. As an auctioneer, Ms Steger-Kriesemer has successfully conducted many charity auctions in Switzerland.
Prior to joining Sotheby's, Ms Steger-Kriesemer spent three years at Galerie von Bartha in Basel where she ran the gallery on a day-to-day basis, exhibiting at various fairs such as ART Basel and TEFAF Maastricht. She studied Art History, Archaeology and History at the University of Basel and is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.
Ms Steger-Kriesemer was a board member of the association Patrons of New Art of the Hallen für Neue Kunst in Schaffhausen until 2014.
