Biography

Jennifer Biederbeck joined Sotheby’s in 1988 and currently serves as Director of Sotheby's San Francisco office. In this role she negotiates auction sales, private sales and appraisals for Northern California buyers and sellers of art. She also oversees corporate support and outreach to art-related regional institutions.

She was initially a Cataloguer in Sotheby’s New York Jewellery department. During her tenure with this department she participated in such landmark sales as Jewellery from the Andy Warhol Estate, Magnificent Jewels of the Countess du Boisrouvray, The Clare Booth Luce Estate and The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Estate, amongst many others.

Ms Biederbeck, a native of San Francisco, received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and is a graduate Gemologist. She is active in the nonprofit sector, currently serving on the Development and Friends Committees of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Collections Committee for the regional chapter of the National Society of the Colonial Dames in America, and the Advisory Committee of the San Francisco Fall Antiques Show.
