Treasures from Chatsworth, Episode 5: The Needlework of Elizabethan Chatsworth

A rare depiction of the original Chatsworth House from around 1550 provides a vital connection to the past. Hundreds of years from now, visitors will look to Johnny Warrender’s many renderings of Chatsworth and its garden for a 21st-century view of the house and its surroundings as well as a window onto the interests and enthusiasms of the current Duke and Duchess.

This summer, Sotheby's is honored to present Treasures from Chatsworth – a rare, public exhibition of works from the fabled Devonshire Collection of Chatsworth House. Free of charge and open to the public, Treasures from Chatsworth will be on view from 28 June through 13 September 2019 in Sotheby’s renovated New York galleries, located at 1334 York Avenue.
